Hi All,
School has started and it's the 2nd day of school for the girls already. Trinity is in first grade and she got Lexie's first grade teacher Mrs. Thomas. Who is our neighbor these last 10 years. She is a great teacher/friend and we couldn't be happier. Lexie has Miss Logamarsina. (I have no idea if I spelled her last name right.) Rumor is she is a really good teacher. Lexie is happy with all her class mates too. It's looking like it will be a good year.
I had chemo on a Thurs. this time. It messed me up so much in that I am so used to doing it on Mondays. He is letting me skip tomorrow and wait 3 extra days and get back on the Monday schedule. My bad days won't be on the weekend this way. This time my veins were really a piece of work. It took two nurses and 5 pricks before they found a vein they could use. My veins are just so over used that they are really scarred and hard to get into. Soooooo...Dr. Rigberg suggested that I have a port put in. It would be in my chest. It's under the skin and it's a vein that is always threaded. It's an outpatient procedure done at my radiology place where I get my ct-scans and such. They just use local anesthesia. Just pray that that goes in well with no complications and that it helps this battle to be a bit easier to fight. I'm hoping it is not too uncomfortable.
Thanks for reading and keeping up with me. I love being able to communicate this way. I love hearing the comments too. They are very encouraging to me. Thanks for the prayers. We are in this battle together. You all are part of this fight with me!!
Lots of love, Peggy

Well, I hope the port takes one of the challenges out of the picture, and that getting back to your Monday schedule makes things more manageable too.
Glad the girls got back to school well. Both amazing teachers, I'm sure it will be a fantastic year.
Just think - the port is temporary, and a quicker path for your treatment. Your veins can rest. God knows what he's doing! I think the Monday schdule will work better for you too. Nice to get back to the school routine with the girls, huh? Good luck to them this upcoming school year. I am sure they'll do well. Love ya! Ann
Good Morning Peggy!
I am so glad about your most recent updates! I know of Dr. Rigburg, and from what I've seen, you are right, he doesn't just handout compliments/encouragement easily! YEA!:)
I think the port will be a blessing ... no more pricks and long attempts ... just get it and go!:)
That'll be nice that your toughest days wont land on the weekend ... Thats good news about getting back on the monday schedule. The Lord has a special way of working everything out!:)
We were told that Brent would be put in Mrs Thomas's class, but there was a mix up and he was put in Mrs Carrillo's class, I was kinda bummed at first, but after meeting with Mrs Carrillo, it turns out to be just as good!:) Brady is in Mrs Bruski's class and they both love the first grade!:) Savannah has Mrs Wilson for the 3rd grade!
I hope all is well, and I hope you're able to enjoy the next few days your off of chemo!:)
Love you lots,
God is Great and he loves you!:)
KIM!:)
HI Peg-
Aren't you glad God is in control all the time? Your courage inspires me. Peace Peace Peace to you friend. xoxo LD :)
This is what I read the other day in my devoltional....
"It's not when we are prospering and crusing through life that others can see Jesus in us" "It's when they see you walking through difficult days by the grace of God that they know He is real to you."
God is using you in His ways to shine His light, and praise God you allow Him to use you! You are an amazing lady who so clearly loves the Lord and trusts in His plan for your life. Nothing is easy in this world and thankfully Jesus did the hardest thing for us so that we will never have to suffer like He did! God will give you everything you need, a schedule change, a better vein, it's just our responsibility to keep that relationship so close and growing that we hear those voices from Him! Take Care Peggy, have a great week with your wonderful family, hug those kids like you never have before, they are God's SPECIAL gift to you!!!!!
