6/10-UCLA Bound

Hi All,

I talked with Dr. Bushnell, my surgeon, yesterday. He said after reviewing my films with his colleague he recommended that we do the surgery at UCLA. He has done numerous surgeries in this area but not with these particular circumstances. He was mainly concerned about the pulmonary artery. After he discussed my case with UCLA surgeon Dr. Robert Cameron he said that there is a unique approach to this kind of thing. They are happy to take on my case. Dr. Bushnell said if it all works out he will actually try to be there to observe the surgery. I thought that would be so cool if that worked out for him to be there. It's always nice to have something familar when the unknown is so prominent.

I continue to have a strong sense of peace that it will all be alright. I really feel Jesus right here by my side through it all. I am just ready to get on with it so we can get this all behind us. I'm hoping it will all happen in the next week or two. It will give me the summer to get back to normal before the busy fall time kicks in with school starting again and all that goes with that.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and encouraging words both here on the blog and in person. It just blows my mind at how many people are praying for me. Thank you all and may God richly bless you so much!!

Lots of love, Peggy

Hi Peggy!

I had major surgery at UCLA in 1989. Totally a God set-up. My local surgeon actually visited me in the hospital, and like you said, it was a comfort. I'm glad your spirits are up and you've got such a great family to support and comfort you. I did too, and what a help!

Bless you. We're praying for you.
